If you want to see the environment of Mojacar in all its beauty, an hiking tour would be the best opportunity to see Mojacar in its entirety. Your biking group decides which walk / hike you would like to do.
Our hiking tour will go the top of one of the various peaks of the Sierra Cabrera mountain range. From the top you will have a beautiful panoramic few of Mojacar, the surrounding villages and Mediterranean Sea.
Ask about our Jeep Tour which may take you to the top of one of these mountain peaks, to a hidden cove where you can relax by a waterfall.
Our hiking excursions are available for simple to advanced hikes and climbs. If you want to try rock climbing and repelling, please ask us to schedule a professional rock climbing guide for the ultimate experience.
Take the same path that the Fatbike Beach Tour takes, only by foot. Walk from Macenas Beach south along a breath taking rocky cliff path, and enjoy some incredible views. You can stop at a beach bar for a drink, or continue on south. It is sandy and stony and wearing flip flops would do you no favours. Wear decent shoes and socks to cover ankles. Bring a bottle of water. You will pass a nudist beach on the way and you could see one nudist. The other views are spectacular though. You pass hills that once gave up iron ore which was exported near the first fort you will meet. There is a tower in the distance which is worth a visit also. You can climb to the top of the tower.
Starting at the highest drivable point on La Parata we ascend into the campo above La Parata, eventually climbing to a height of 488 metres. Lunch overlooks the bay by Hotel Indalo. Stunning views of the Med throughout. Tough going under foot with testing ascents and descents.
TREASURE ISLAND (Ridge Route)
Leaving Macenas tower we have a 35 minute climb to the water tower followed by 10 – 12 “punchy” hill climbs in succession before we descend the steep scree slope into the rambla where we join the other group. We lunch on the “Treasure Island” beach before following the coast road back to the tower. Great views all around.
SIERRA DE BEDAR (HILLS NORTH OF ALFAIX)
This walk follows the Sorbas road east out of Alfaix, then heading north over the E-15 motorway climbing sharply into the hills. After lunch we have a long descent via a footpath into the rocky and sandy rambla below. This walk can be quite tiring due to loose boulders and sand underfoot.
TENERIFE ASCENT PLUS
From the centre of los Lobos we drop down into the rambla before beginning our circuitous ascent to the highest point called Tenerife. On the way we pass lots of abandoned mine workings and mine shafts. After lunching on Tenerife we proceed to the second highest point in the Almagrera mountain range. before descending back to our start point in Los Lobos.
